FashIDn Pop Up Shop: Most Recent Photo Shoot

A few days ago we had another photo shoot in the studio to photograph even more garments that will be available in FashIDn Pop Up Shop which will be held in Coventry, The Glass Box gallery.

There is now an Instagram page available which will promote garments that we will be selling.

Pop-Up Shop Preparation: Styling

Today we managed to do so much with the team – we had a meeting to discuss what we must have in the shop and arranged our responsibilities; reviewed stock to choose and style garments for photo shoot and submitted visual merchandising concept boards to get some feedback.

Photo shoot session is tomorrow and we still need to arrange everything with photographer, model and styling team so there is no time to rest.

There are some of the outfits that we will photograph on models tomorrow:

Pop-Up Shop Visual Merchandising

After talking to team we decided that easily accessible materials that we could use for Pop-Up shop are:

  • wooden pallets
  • used packaging products (cardboard, paper)
  • plastic hangers

We decided to continue researching ideas and submit our concept boards on Tuesday.

After seeing some geometrical light fittings I wanted to test if I could do anything similar using sticks that are being used to keep shoes straight. I politely asked if I could collect some from a local high street store. They were happy for me to take some so I made a few shapes – cutting them all to the same length and using hot glue. Those shapes can be connected together to make really big and impressive displays!

Jewellery stands and other props can be made using shoe straightening sticks

I liked our team member Sophie’s idea to use fingerprint decals for windows, however, I thought they should be smaller scale.

Another idea – using folded paper to create background for displays.  Low-cost and easily achievable.
